Reynolds Parents Network is a new grassroots organization started by a parent to address the challenges of raising teens. The goal of the RPN is to provide opportunities for parents to develop connections with other parents and support one another during the middle and high school years. To accomplish this, RPN runs discussion groups, facilitated by parent volunteers, for parents with children in 9th through 12th grades in the Reynolds School District. As the Network grows, RPN hopes to sponsor speakers and forums to provide resource information to parents.
Topics are chosen by the participants and may range from information about making the transition to high school to the college application process. Is there a topic you’d like to know more about? New to the area? Feeling like you don’t know what’s going on at school? Join the Network to share information, discussion, and support in the issues that face all of us as parents of teens.
• Membership is free. There are no fund raising requests. Donations to help cover printing and xeroxing costs are welcomed but not required.
• Groups are comprised of up to 18 families that generally meet in member's homes. Single parents, mothers, fathers, step-parents and foster parents may participate. Children are not allowed due to confidentiality.
• Meetings are held monthly 6-7 times during the school year on the same night of the week most convenient for members of the group, generally 7:30-9:00 pm
• Light snacks and refreshments will be provided by willing parents.
New members are welcome at any time. Membership is free. See link at top of page for RPN registration form.
